Its property mechanics are good, the aspect of the wood is, furthermore, attractive. Yellow Martinmas can be thus employed on furnishing, common or ornamental. It is perfectly advisable for all the outside and internal types of joineries. In this last case, a treatment will however be necessary. Furthermore, in skeleton, in skeleton or it parqueterie, yellow Martinmas can give excellent results. Its capacity in the collage and its weak retreat allow finally to envisage an use in structure, skeleton or panels stuck lamellés-. ![]() SAINT MARTIN ROUGE (Andira coriacea) USE: Martinmas appears as a dense and hard wood, of good durability, presenting high mechanical properties. Red Martinmas can be successfully employed on cabinetmaking, it tabletterie and for the realization of turned objects (balusters, tails of billiards, sleeves of umbrella). Although we use in joinery of essences of lighter density, red Martinmas can be used in internal or outside joinery, notably for the manufacturing of entrances, the use for which it is particularly appreciated. It is to note that in the USA its use for constructions in fresh water (sluice gates, needles of dam, etc.) is appreciated. Red Martinmas posséde the property to weaken the vibrations. |
